SURINAM - Former Colony of NETHERLANDS - HOLLAND - CENTRALE BANK VAN SURINAM - 10 Tien Gulden 1998 Dated Banknote from the 1991 - 1999 Issue - Note is in Uncirculated condition, as issued.

This Suriname 10 Gulden banknote is in Red and Green on Multicolours. The note is part of the family of notes issued by the Central Bank of Suriname between 1991 and 1999. The face of the note features an image of the Central Bank van Suriname’s headquarters building at the Waterkant in Paramaribo. There is a small illustration of a large bunch of bananas at the top left on the face. The words ‘TIEN Gulden’ are at the lower centre right, with a Hibiscus flower in the background. A large ‘10’ is at the left side and ‘10 Gulden’ is at the top right.
Also on the face is Serial Number AL 521853 in Red running vertically down at the right side, the Serial also appears in Black in the Horizontal format at the lower left side, below this is the signature of Hendrick Otmar Goedschalk, he was Governor of the Central Bank of Suriname from January 1985 to January 1994 and again from January 1997 to August 2000, so signed this note issue, which is dated 10 FEBRUARY 1998.
On the reverse is a White Throated Toucan on a branch at the left side, the central image features a couple of men harvesting Bananas. The reverse has the Coat of Arms of Surinam at the top right corner bearing the Latin motto JUSTITJA – PIETAS – FIDES meaning - Justice, Piety and Fidelity.
The note is sized 146 x 69mm.
The note has a solid security thread at the right centre and a watermark that also shows a Toucan. The banknote was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited.
This Banknote is bright and it is still crisp to the touch and clean, it is just as issued, therefore it grades to Uncirculated condition.

Shipping/handling: UK and Europe:£2.49 for ordinary untracked Airmail or £6.30 for registered/insured (Necessary for all items or groups of items with a value exceeding £20). Rest of World: £3.49 for regular mail of up to 20 grams weight for ordinary untracked Airmail or £10.90 for registered mail (seller’s risk, necessary for all items or groups of items with a value exceeding £20). Multiple wins/items are batched and sent at no extra cost, unless weight is significantly higher, above 20 grams.

PLEASE NOTE ALL ITEMS ARE NOW MAILED FROM MY CURRENT LOCATION IN ITALY, posted the same day that payment is received or the next working day after payment, if made at the weekend.
