Vintage 60s era burgundy folded velvet pillbox or toque style hat with a large matching velvet rose type flower attached to the front.  The hat has a black net base and a maroon grosgrain ribbon trim around the opening.

A label attached to the ribbon reads, "Irene of New York.  There are also two small hair combs attached to either side.

The opening measures 20 inches.  Condition is GOOD.  It looks like the large flower has a few stitches missing and the piece has been anchored with two straight pins.
