Victorian Laird Schober & Co Black Wool Patent Leather High Top Lace-up Boots

This pair of antique Victorian era Laird Schober & Co. black wool patent leather high top lace-up boots date from 1900. They are made of a black wool cloth top and black patent leather bottom shoe. These beautiful boots have a two tone color combo, with pointed toes, the original black shoe string laces for closure, black patent French spool heels and have a "Laird Schober & Co., Philadelphia" manufacturers trade mark label and "Lavensons Inc. Sacramento" department store label stamped inside top tops. The boots measure 10 1/2 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels and are hand written inside a size 37. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot and are approximately a US size 7 narrow width. They are in good wearable condition, have been worn wear on the bottom leather soles, some scratches and moth nips on the wool fabric. These are truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable shoe art!
