This is an antique black latch lock case manufactured by Nielsen Hardware in the United States. It is lined with a felt like material. And, I “think” the outside is made of Bakelite. It is in nice vintage condition. I couldn’t find anything like it, no matter how I tried! I just thought it was really cool! I bought it at an estate auction that was filled with antique military and motorcycle pieces!

I am sure it could be used in a variety of different ways!
