Vintage Multicolor Floral Print Silk Chiffon Bias Cut Dress Capelet Flounce

This vintage multicolor floral print silk chiffon bias cut dress and capelet flounce dates from the 1930s. It is made of a multicolored poppy flower print sheer silk chiffon fabric. This pretty print dress has a bias cut sleeveless style with a full skirt, asymmetrical neckline, side snap closures and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 45 inches long, with a 34 inch chest, 28 inch waist and 40 inch hips. Included is a matching fabric flounce ruffle capelet shawl which has been removed cut from the dress and could be used for repairs. It is in fair as-is condition, a "wounded bird" with several frayed splits scattered on the skirt, front top, shoulders and seams (see close-ups). Great for upcycling, restoration, design or display (no longer wearable). This is truly a wonderful piece of textile art!
