This antique Chinese art cabinet is relatively unknown to me because it has been difficult to assess provenance. I know that it is decades old, but I don't know much more. I do not believe this is genuine Qing dynasty work for a few reasons but the most clear being the wood being used. This is clearly made of pinewood and I would expect the genuine article to be of a much hardier wood.
Nevertheless this  is a beautiful piece and painted in a vivid shade of red at the front with black around the sides.
The cabinet is most likely an antique reproduction and it does indeed feature intricate details and design elements that reflect the rich cultural heritage of China. It has been garaged for a couple of years so it has gathered some dust but the bottom has been protected by shipping material. The condition is fair with some heavy paint chipping, and some of the surface buckling a little as well as quite a lot of crazing as would be expected by something that is probably at least 50 years old.
The cabinet is perfect for storing and displaying your precious belongings, with plenty of space inside for all your valuables. The red color adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room, while the intricate  design is significantly better than the average reproduction.
I am selling this for well below the cost that I would expect to pay for the item simply because I really don't have the time to deal with the transportation so any purchaser would have to collect in person. I will happily assist in moving the cabinet but as it is a two person job at the minimum the purchaser would also have to muck in.
