The Big Little Store located in San Francisco, not far from Haight-Ashbury, was an infamous head shop affiliated with the Brotherhood of Eternal Love (The Hippie Mafia). They were notorious for dealing in all things counterculture and drug related during the Hippie movement.

BIOGRAPHY: Timothy Leary (1920-1996) was a prominent member of the radical left movement starting in the the 1960's. While teaching at Harvard he conducted extensive research on behalf of the US Government on the effects of LSD and psilocybin drugs on humans. However when he began advocating the benefits of psychedelic substances, he was persecuted by the Federal Goverment. In 1968 President Richard Nixon described Leary as "the most dangerous man in America". Having been arrested 29 times he spent much of the 1960s and 1970s on the run from US law enforcement. In 1970 he was able to escape from prison with the help of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love (The Hippie Mafia) and the Weatherman Underground Organization (WUO). He fled to Algeria and joined the Black Panther Party members in exile.
