Union Jack Again Raised at Tobruk--In this photo, flashed by radio from Cairo to New York today, British soldiers are shown as they raised the Union Jack over the oft-bombed Libyan city of Tobruk following its recapture by the Eighth Army. Latest dispatches today indicate that Rommel's shattered forces are in rapid flight about 500 miles west of El Alamein, Egypt, where the rout of the Afrika Korps began. Photo was taken last Friday. Photo measures 8.25 x 10.5 inches. Photo Is dated 1942.
