White, Bright, Clean, Stunning 1964 "Accented Hair" Kennedy Proof Half Dollar. Top-Pop, PF69 graded by NGC.

This is the first design before the wife of JFK requested changes to the hair be made.

The qualifiers of an "Accented Hair" variety are very distinct: 1) Minimized bottom-left serif of "I" in "LIBERTY", 2) Excess hair above Kennedy's ear, 3) Rays are "broken" by stars on right side of eagle, 4) Straight "G" in "FG" (artists's initials)

The differences between a "69" and "70" are so small that graders reportedly have to make a subjective decision on which one it is. Even though this piece wasn't submitted as an "Accented Hair" variety, it seems like the graders would have noticed the above distinctions. However, it is absolutely a mislabeled piece.
