Instructions For Operating The 16-30


There is no date in this publication, however the 16-30 was manufactured from 1917 to 1924, so it is presumed that this book is from somewhere in that time span, circa 1920.

The manual includes operating instructions for the 16-30 OilPull Tractor, including unloading, starting the engine, starting in cold weather, operating the clutch, changing gears, brakes, how to stop tractor and engine, lubrication, mechanical adjustments, various systems and parts, factors in plowing, troubleshooting, and a plan for a tractor shed. There is a complete index at the back.

Inside the front is one page with printing on both sides that has been tipped in "Instruction Book Bulletin No. 2 (16-30) 16-30 Differential Shaft.

Condition: Overall good condition.  There is a stain (sun fading) on the front cover that does not affect the interior. The front cover has a 1" horizontal tear along outside edge that has been repaired on the inside with transparent tape. The front cover also has soem creases.   Two of the center leaves have come loose from the staples.
