Here is a small pin dish (or possibly ash tray) in the shape of an upside down cap. It has a hand painted traditional windmill design in cobalt blue on the inside and a floral design around the outside. The bottom is marked with "Delfts Holland" and the number "31". This dish measures about 4-1/4" in length, 3-5/8" in width and is about 1-1/2" high.
This unusual dish is in very good condition with no cracks or discoloration. There is crazing, both inside and outside. There are a couple of tiny pinpricks on the bottom that look like they occurred during the manufacturing process, as if the glaze didn't quite cover the porcelain. You can see these pinprick chips and some of the crazing in the third photo of the back above.
