In its long company history, Arai has further improved the sliding properties through new developments based on the observed behavior of the head (helmet) in real accidents. The advanced VAS visor system improves the ability of the helmet to slide off obstacles.
These innovations have all been incorporated into the new Arai RX7-V. The Arai RX7-V is the new top model from the Arai brand.

VAS VISOR SYSTEM

The SAI sighting system has only a single axis (swivel point) for sight operation, whereas the VAS system has a variable axis (movable pivot point). Dual function side cover/fairing and visor pin for quick and easy visor removal. The visibility of the visor mechanism allows for easier visor replacement.
The VAS visor locking system locks and holds the visor more securely closed to prevent accidental opening. In addition to an anti-fog function, the improved locking allows intuitive and seamless use of the visor.

Stronger shell improved by the latest technologies:

PB SNC2 shell (ECE R22.06)

Super fibers and other special synthetic fibers with excellent tear resistance and good flexibility properties, developed for Formula 1 helmets, handmade by Arai experts. Just like the steel belts that hold a wooden barrel together, with a variety of carefully stacked and shaped materials. Newly developed resin creates stronger bonds between the shell materials while reducing weight.

Diffuser type 12

The new Type 12 diffusers are 20 mm longer and have been straightened for improved aerodynamics. Together with the Air Wing, they improve helmet stability. Compared to the previous Type 10 diffuser system, the inlets of the new Type 12 diffuser have increased by 19%. The new air intake channels not only offer better regulation through the three positions, closed, half-open and open, but also improve the seal against wind noise and prevent water ingress.

Eco Pure lining

The fully removable inner lining system has been improved with a new Eco Pure material. It helps maintain the neutral acidity of the skin and also works. To make the helmet even softer and more comfortable, we developed this new, softer lining material. The new inner lining also has adjustable temple pads to individually improve the fit.

VAS V MV visor

The VAS MAX Vision visor offers much better visibility as standard, in Allen possible weather and driving conditions. A clear, anti-fog Pinlock is included and can be installed if required.

IC Duct5

The new IC Duct5 duct system allows 11% more airflow than the previous Delta Duct5 system. The new larger switch makes opening and closing easier. The new IC Duct5 duct system has three positions (closed, half-open and open) to adjust airflow and prevent water ingress when closed.

Improved air passage in the eye area with direct air duct to the rear side outlets (Cowl-6).

Chin cover

The new chin cover located on the underside of the helmet helps further support the egg shape. It blocks the entry of turbulent air currents and increases negative pressure to improve the drainage function of the FFS system by allowing more air into the mouth area.

Full support interior

FCS cheek pads with integrated speaker wells and a 5mm removable foam layer for additional space if needed. More space in the mouth and chin area for a more open wearing feeling. Smaller non-ferrous nozzle without reducing efficiency. New emergency opening system at the end of the opening pull strap for easier opening by rescue workers. Improved comfort with a better fit makes the helmet easier to put on and take off.

In its long company history Arai has researched abrasion characteristics further enhanced by the observed behavior of the head (helmet) in real accidents, by new developments. The advanced VAS sighting system improves the property of the helmet, to be able to slide off of obstacles.
These new features are all incorporated into the new Arai RX7-V. The Arai RX7-V forms so that the new top of the line brand Arai.

For all helmets - regardless of brand - the amount of energy absorbed is limited. The slipping of obstacles helps to improve the energy consumption in real accidents (or optimizing). Therefore Arai has a stronger shell and smoother shape designed so that the helmet can absorb the impact energy better. A small change in the visor mounting mechanism was required for the operation of the current-visor pivot joint. In order to improve the energy absorbing potential, the size of the VAS-hinge cover has been reduced and the cover set deeper into the shell, whereby 24 mm could be obtained compared to the shell standard in the section, so that the shell during tests at the temple area was smoother.

Compared to the previous diffuser system of the type 10, the inlets of the new diffuser have increased type 12 by 19%. The new air intake ports not only provide better regulation through the three positions, closed, semi-open and open, but also improve the sealing against wind noise and prevent the ingress of water.
