WOW!  Can you believe the original cork bottom with cloth floral decoration has been with this cake salver since 1882!
Just take a close look at the photos!. No chips or cracks on the glass and what an amazing survival story.  Notice the
patent dates on the original label which is pasted to a cork insert.  You can see the years of 1881 and 1882.  The darling
little cloth flowers appear also to be original but I can't be sure.  There was also bits and pieces of typed paper that said
"Grandma Rai.......y.......Cake Plate.......(given) to me clear ribbon pattern". Some of the paper was missing so I can only
speculate that it actually said "Grandma Rainey (possibly) cake plate given to me clear ribbon pattern".  Not sure if
the last name was Rainey or not. You will receive the little scraps of typed paper, the original cork insert with the cloth
flowers and the glass cake salver.  Serve a cake the way grandma did 140 years ago!  The glass stands 8 inches tall
and measures 10 inches across the top.  Any questions please ask.
