This is an original press photo. The last phase of a partial lunar eclipse is shown in this photograph as it was visible here last night between 5:10 to 6:20 PM. Griffith Park observatory said the eclipse was visible throughout the U.S., but that it started before the full moon rose in the west. Photo measures 9.5 x 7inches. Photo is dated 12-10-1973.
