Other:                      Excellent family portrait in front of their new home with George &

Mollie Mclane with Uncle John and Aunt Clarkie (Clarkey McLane).  George McLane was part owner in the Croup & McLane dry goods store in Union Mils with Henry Croup.  Uncle John and Aunt Clarkey (World)  McLane were the parents of Timothy McLane who married Rebbeca Croup.  Timothy also was involved in the store business as well.  It isn’t clear how George and John McLane are related since George had no surviving brothers and John was originally from Ohio.  You can find the genealogy in Google books under “History of La Porte County, Indiana, 1880.”
