Original U.S. Mint George Washington Medal, Musante GW-445 and Julian PR-26, Dies By Anthony Paquet, "P" On Neck, Third Reverse.  This medal had the dark bronze original finish, but it has been cleaned long ago, and it has toned down to a red copper color now. The red copper proves that it is not the 20th century golden matte finish, and the letter "P" on the neck shows that it was struck between 1873 and 1904.   Copper bronze, 19 mm diameter, and in almost uncirculated condition.
