Up for sale is this pair of large mid century abstract ceramic pottery wall plaques. I'm sure they are Italian, unknown artist, no signature seen. The backs are covered in brown paper, so if they are signed it may be underneath. Multi-colors and textures of heavy enameled paint. Depicts tall figures, one figure with separated head with birds, the other a faceless woman. These are hollow yet quite heavy. Each measures 23" long, 4 1/2" across at bottom widest point, and 1 7/8" thick. There is a scuff of the pottery on the backside upper corner of one, not sure if it is a sliver chip or was scuffed in firing process (see photo) Otherwise very nice with no damage.
