Vintage Rectangular 18K Large Swiss Art Deco Vacheron & Constatin Wristwatch 1929.

This is a very fine and rare rectangular 18ct gold gentleman’s Art Deco Swiss wristwatch, double signed. A fabulous example of a large sized 18ct gold Vacheron et Constantin dating to 1929. It has a two piece hinged body with polished stepped and sloped sides and curved lugs. Heavy case. The original silvered dial has applied yellow gold ‘cubiste’ numerals and an outer minute track. Yellow gold cathedral hands. 16mm open lugs, Swiss marks and case makers mark (300). 15 jewel movement with 5 adjustments, signed Vacheron et Constantin and J E Caldwell & Co. (J.E. Caldwell & Co. was a major jewelry retailer and one-time silversmith in Philadelphia.) Index regulator.  The dial is also signed by the retailer. Perfect mineral crystal glass. Case size 26mm (inc. inset crown) x 39mm (inc. lugs). Original J E Caldwell watch bag with silk ties. Brand new new leather strap. It runs perfectly and has just returned from a full service by one of the finest watchmakers in the UK. 2 Year guarantee.
