Old House Shutter Latch 11 X 2 5/8" Vintage PAT 1860 1861 Slide Bolt CAST IRON

This extra long latch came off a house shutter.

• It would look great on a garden shed, a rustic jelly cupboard, a cabinet and all sorts of furniture. 
• Use it on a barn or house shutters for a rustic historic look.
• It has a patent date on them SEPT 18 1860 and APRIL 29 1861.
• This latch has a locking lever to keep the slide bolt from moving back and forth.
  
•  The latch was stripped of all the layers of paint so it is ready for you to paint or leave it as it is. 
• There is a small amout of rust on the cast iron.
• The latch is 11 1/8 X 2 5/8" wide.
