These unique earrings of polished organic shaped Black Coral slices and Swarovski Crystals was handmade by Artisan Tristina Dietz of Dietz Jewels. The Florida Black Coral pieces measure approximately 3/8 inch long. The crystals are graduated in size from 5 mm - 7mm diameter. Come on pretty silver plated ear wires.
The black coral slices are created from gorgonian coral that washes up on the beaches of Florida and is sourced while picking up trash as we walk along the shore! We cut, sand, form and polish these pieces to a beautiful luster. 🌊 The color of Florida black coral ranges from deep black to light brown and each is truly a one-of-a-kind piece.
Note that black coral pieces should not be immersed in water or steamed as direct heat or prolonged exposure to water can damage the coral surface or cause it to change shape. Even though these are sea gems, think of them and treat as you would a fine wood. Clean the piece by wiping gently with a damp cloth.
