It is used and has blemishes. It would be a good first iPad for somebody who wants to get an idea of the Pro line or just experience their awesome design before plunging into a very expensive new purchase. Here are the blemishes I found, and I tried to take pictures so you can see them with clarity.
- The screen has an area where the pixels are brighter than normal. It shows well on an all white screen, but becomes less noticeable with color or even reading a .pdf or book.
- Where you plug the lightning cable in, it is scratched and has a small dent in it. You should be able to see this in the pictures. The lightning port however, plugs in flush and doesn't appear to be affected, it is more a blemish.
- The screen has some very hard to see scratches. They are not noticeable unless you hold it up to bright light.
I would have no problem using it had I not already owned a new mini and new 11" pro. Functionally, it works fine, you just have to be willing to accept those imperfections I stated above.
