This is a superb Pre-Columbian MAYAN POLYCHROME BOWL, Late Pre-Classic Period, ca. AD 600-900, from Guatemala.

This rare bowl is decorated around the outside with remains of hieroglyphic text, the glyphs painted in three colors. The inside and bottom are abraded due to age and wear. It measures 3" high, 8" across at the top and is good ancient condition; it has been expertly reassembled from several parts (there is one small piece missing). This item comes directly from the estate of a Beverly Hills Pre-Columbian collector along with some other pieces that are also being offered on eBay. This item was legally imported into the United States over 50 years ago. Authenticity is GUARANTEED. Packing and shipping is $40.00 within the US. Please view my eBay store for additional museum quality fine art and collectibles, including other fine Pre-Columbian items.
