MICHEL VAILLANT Russian version racing DVD 2003

This is “MICHEL VAILLANT,” a previously-owned DVD with all original artwork. It was issued by Gelvars in 2003 and is entirely in Russian (no sub-titles).

“Michel Vaillant” is the title of a Belgian comics series created in 1957 by French cartoonist Jean Graton. Vaillant is the main character of the eponymous series, a French racing car driver who competes mainly in Formula One. The feature first appeared in “Tintin,” where Jean Graton had already published a number of short stories about real-life sporting heroes. And although this film version is absolutely unbelievable, this film is a great example of how a movie based on a comic book should be made. The movie is very stylish and uses some great camera positions and editing. It was partly shot during the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race in June 2002 (event organizers added two cars to the field specifically to accommodate the filming). It stars Sagamore Stévenin, Peter Youngblood Hills, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Diane Kruger, Béatrice Agenin, Lisa Barbuscia, Philippe Bas, Stefano Cassetti, Philippe Lellouche and François Levantal…

We realize that postage prices have gone up substantially, as have the price of high-quality mailing envelopes and packaging materials; our shipping prices reasonably reflect that inflation. Please do not criticize and/or give us low marks for our “shipping and handling charges” after buying. If you do not agree with the shipping charge, simply do not buy. It’ll make it much easier for both of us...
