Our popular bolt-on cogs are now available in 7075-T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminium Alloy.

Mounts to any standard 6 bolt disc-hub to convert your track, road, or mountain bike into a fixed wheel. New width 3/32" now in stock.

  • Custom manufactured in England by the UK's leading motorcycle sprocket engineering company with 70 world champions to it's name.
  • Unlike cheap laser cut or stamped cogs VeloSolo cogs are made the old fashioned way from start to finish.
  • Note: sale is for ONE cog only - no other parts (hubs, bolts etc) are included.
  • Machined from solid blanks of 3.0mm aircraft grade heat treated 7075-T6. Less than half the weight of our steel Disc cogs.
  • Anodized in red, black or gold and laser engraved. Teeth precision milled and mounting holes drilled to very tight tolerances.
  • Very strong, very round and a perfect fit on any 6 bolt disc hub. Reversible without affecting chainline for even longer life.
  • For road, track or mountain bikes. Available from stock now in 1/8" width and now in 3/32" too!  Sizes are 16, 17 or 18 teeth.
  • Note: being aluminium these are ultimately not as hard wearing as the cro-mo cogs so we are not able to offer a lifetime guarantee. However, these are manufactured in very high spec aircraft-grade heat-treated 7075 and as with our regular threaded 7075 track cogs we receive regular reports on how well they hold up to wear. They are of course reversible without affecting chainline so can be run in both directions.

OK, but why use a bolt-on cog instead of a traditional screw on cog?

  • An end to the possibility of damaged hubs, seized cogs and stuck lockrings.
  • Change cogs with one small Torx or hex key - no chain whips or lockring wrenches needed.
  • 100% solid mount - six M5 hardened steel bolts give the stiffest most secure interface possible.
  • Zero slippage or movement possible, simply 100% power transfer - forwards or backwards.
  • Precise and simple adjustment of chainline for a perfectly smooth drivetrain.
  • Converts a disc hub MTB to a fixed wheel in seconds - try fixed off-road without building a new wheel.

Note: this is the aluminium version of our popular steel Disc Cog in production since 2007 (see pictures at bottom of listing). Our cro-mo steel cogs are available in many more sizes and all cogs are in use by riders in over 40 countries around the world.
