Luis Enrique Erro (1897 - 1955) was a famous Mexican astronomer, mathematician, author, journalist, and government advisor who, among many other technical and educational accomplishments, helped design and administer the National Observatory in Tonantzintla, Mexico. Planetario Luis Enrique Erro in Mexico City is named after him, as is the lunar crater ‘Erro.’ Shortly before his death, he wrote a novel called ‘Los Pies Descalzos’ (Bare Feet), concerning the life of Mexican revolutionary, Emiliano Zapata.
