Offered is a very rare vintage Lenox figurine called "Mistress Mary". The coloring is a white dress with a floral motif and light blue ruffle.  These figurines were made in the 1940's and 1950's, designed by Patricia Jean Eakin. Her initials "PJE" are impressed in the base.  There were a very limited number of designs made by Lenox, approximately 15 different figurines that we have found reference to in manuals. They were produced in very limited quantites and rarely are seen on the open market. This particular figurine is called "Mistress Mary" and is 6 1/4" tall. It is 6 3/4" wide at the base. This figurine has lace above the bottom ruffle of the dress and on the bodice and sleeves. The lace has no damage , as you can see in the photographs. To quote from The Official Price Guide to American Pottery & Porcelain: "Damage is very common and does not affect the value all that much if limited to minor lace damage or a missing finger". Our figurine is missing the four finger tips on the hand holding the basket. It is a beautiful example of Lenox art at its best. In the US, shipping, packing and insurance are included in the purchase price. Outside the US $30.00.
