This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period blue satin glass small Brides' Basket with silver plated stand, c. 1880-1900. 

This wonderful bride's basket features a beautiful light blue shading to white mother-of-pearl satin glass bowl insert with a wavy herringbone design and six-sided upper rim. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The bowl measures 2 3/4" high and 5" in diameter.

The ornate silver plated stand has no noted flaws and the bowl fits perfectly in the stand. The stand is marked "EPNS" on the base with number "8595".

Stand measures 6 3/8" high and a maximum width of 6 1/2".

Due to the popularity of these bride's baskets during the Victorian Period, the various bowls used in these baskets/stands were made in assorted colors, shapes and materials both in the U.S. and in Europe. These popular items were produced into the early 20th Century.
