THIS LISTING IS FOR A WONDERFUL 19th CENTURY CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL ON BRONZE MINIATURE TEAPOT. THIS UNUSUAL TEAPOT FEATURES A DARK GREEN BACKGROUND WITH LARGE CENTER MEDALLION DECORATED WITH A COLORFUL FLYING PHOENIX BIRD. TEAPOT HAS AN INTRICATE BEADED DESIGN ON THE BORDER ENAMELED IN TURQUOISE. THE MEDALLION ON THE BACK OF THE TEAPOT FEATURES BUTTERFLIES AND FLOWERS WITH MATCHING TURQUOISE BORDER. THE DARK GREEN BACKGROUND IS DECORATED WITH FLOWERS WITH BRIGHT COLORATION IN THE ENAMELING IN SHADES OF YELLOW, BLUE, RED, WHITE AND TURQUOISE. BOTH THE INTERIOR BODY AND THE BASE ARE DECORATED WITH A HEAVY APPLICATION OF TURQUOISE ENAMEL WITH THE ENAMEL INSIDE THE LID BEING MORE GREEN. THE BRONZE UPPER AND BOTTOM RIMS HAVE NICE ORIGINAL PATINA.

MEASURES 7 1/4" TALL (AT HANDLE), 5 1/4" HIGH AT SPOUT, 6 3/4" WIDE AND 5" DEEP.

THE TEAPOT IS IN EXCELLENT ESTATE CONDITION WITH THE ONLY ISSUES BEING SOME VERY MINOR NO-HARM FLAWS IN THE ENAMEL AROUND THE SPOUT AT THE BODY JOINT AND SAME AROUND THE HANDLE (SEE PHOTOS). NO OTHER NOTED DAMAGE, FLAWS OR REPAIRS.
