This is a rare beautiful giclee print of a Pinatubo sunset at Kawailoa Beach (near where the TV series 'Lost' was filmed in Haleiwa by longtime Hawaii professional photographer Bill Romerhaus. The eruption of the volcano several thousand miles away produced incredible sunsets for about a month. This photo was not manipulated with Photoshop, this is what it actually looked like! It's mounted on an 8x10" reddish backing board which is included as part of the print that you can see here and is shrink wrapped (*you can see it on the photo) to protect it from damage, and has photography and preservation tips included in the label on the back. It is also initialed ('BR') by the photographer (which you can't see here in the lower corner). It is from 35mm transparency film so its a little grainy, and looks nice in a frame. We're proud to mention that many of our photos were used as background artwork in the new CBS television network series "Hawaii 5-0". It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who likes historic sunset images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.
Our original photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it. We feel we are preserving and promoting the history and culture of Hawaii to Kama'aina, visitors, and other folks at a reasonable price to display or share with others.
