The FMC-1000MS Gigabit Ethernet is an extremely versatile web-managed optical fiber media converter.
It has a dual speed SFP(Small Form Pluggable) slot that can accommodate any type of SFP optical module, like Fast Ethernet 100Base-X or Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-X (multimode, singlemode, BiDirectional, CWDM, etc). The Copper interface is an auto negotiating 10/100/1000 Base-T RJ45 interface with auto MDI/MDI-X detection.
FMC-1000MS supports web-based management functions via its own IP address. Bandwidth control, port speeds and many other features can be set from web interface. Standalone FMC-1000MS is powered by an external switching power supply adapter, input 90-260AC, output 12V DC, 1A. Plug for AC line is US type, NEMA1-15(2 blades only). The AC adapter is included in the converter box. For professional 48V DC power requirements an FMC-CH08-DC rack solution is available. The FMC-CH08-DC rack has 8 slots and occupies 2U in a 19" wide rack, but with only 10" wide. Two FMC-CH08 chassis side by side fit in a 19" width space.
FMC-1000MS can accommodate any type of SFP optical module like multimode, singlemode, WDM or CWDM SFP's. Unit is offering unparalleled flexibility and easy migration from copper Gigabit Ethernet port to short-haul or long haul fiber connections by simply changing the optical module interface. For copper port, the unit has auto-sensing speed line connection between 10. 100 and 1000BaseT interfaces. The SFP slot is dual speed auto-sensing, working with both Fast Ethernet 155Mbps and Gigabit 1.25Gbps SFP transceivers.
