This is a magnificent ancient Pre-Columbian JALISCO STANDING FEMALE FIGURE, Jalisco, Late Pre-Classic Period, ca. 300 BC - AD 300.

 

This majestic figure stands with her hands out at her sides, looking straight ahead with a headdress and extensive traces of original red/orange decoration. It measures 9 ¾" high, 6" wide and is in good original ancient condition with no repairs or restorations. There are natural surface abrasions and encrustations due to age and wear. PROVENANCE: This spectacular item comes directly from a Southern California estate and was legally imported into the United States prior to 1970. Authenticity is GUARANTEED.
