Quick-fit hooks for 8mm shock cord / bungee / elastic rope.

A great, budget, alternative to our popular self-assembly hooks, these two-piece, quick-fit, gated hooks attach in no time to 8mm diameter elastic shock cord (bungee cord) allowing you to make bungees, luggage straps, tie-downs and all manner of fittings in minutes and to the exact length you need. Ideal for all manner of camping, boating, gardening, agricultural, automotive and general outdoor applications. Metal-free design ensures maximum weatherproofing, ideal for outdoor and marine use. The hooks can also be used to fix two ends of 5mm diameter shock cord to make a hook-and-loop strap.

Just like our self-assembly hooks, these tough and robust hooks use a clever self-locking collar to form an extremely strong union that is easily self-assembled. Buy the length of shock cord you need (see our ebay shop), get the hooks, and make up the strap to the length that you want to fit your tent, tarp., trailer, boat, pick-up etc. Simply slip the collar onto the cord, push the end of the cord into the hook and push the collar over the integral grips and up to the base of the hook where it clicks into place for a neat and secure finish.
