This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period Continental Silver over copper tea caddy, c. 1900. The design is beautifully hand chased with four panels each decorated with assorted scenes. The lid and shoulder are decorated with an Intricate floral design in relief. The base is stamped with unidentified hallmark.
Measures 4 1/4" high, 2 3/4" wide and 2" deep. Weighs 6.7 ounces.
This nice tea caddy is in very good condition with no damage or flaws reflecting wear commensurate with age. As is normal with these items, there is minor copper showing in the highlighted areas where the silver has been worn.
