Lens has been used a lot, it is more then 60 years old after all, It is in average cosmetic condition. I would rate it at 5 or good condition of 10. It shows normal wear on the exterior. Glass looks OK even thought it has some defects.  It is free of noticeable large scratches. It has some very tiny scratches most likely caused by cleaning. And it has some haze inside. And some dust. So lens needs some minor cleaning. I would say glass looks good for it's age. It has no major problems. 

Lens works. Focus ring is hard to turn because oil lube got hard/dry from age. It needs some lube (lens can be used in as is condition, just focus ring is hard to turn). Aperture blades are free of oil, they open and close properly. Lens works, but it has some issues.
