The FMC-1001S Gigabit Ethernet is an extremely versatile unmanaged optical fiber media converter.
It has an SFP(Small Form Pluggable) slot that can accommodate any type of Gigabit SFP optical module (multimode, singlemode, BiDirectional, CWDM, etc). The Copper interface is an auto negotiating 10/100/1000 Base-T RJ45 interface with auto MDI/MDI-X detection.
Standalone FMC-1001S is powered by an external switching power supply adapter, input 90-260AC, output 12V DC, 1A. Plug for AC line is US type, NEMA1-15(2 blades only). The AC adapter is included in the converter box. For professional 48V DC power requirements FMC-CH17-AC or FMC-CH17-DD rack solutions are available. The FMC-CH17 series chassis have 17 slots and occupies 2U in a 19" wide rack.
FMC-1001S can accommodate any type of SFP optical module like multimode, singlemode, WDM or CWDM SFP's. Unit is offering unparalleled flexibility and easy migration from copper Gigabit Ethernet port to short-haul or long haul fiber connections by simply changing the optical module interface. For copper port, the unit has auto-sensing speed line connection between 10, 100 and 1000BaseT interfaces. The SFP slot is working with Gigabit 1.25Gbps rated SFP transceivers.
FMC-1001S supports custom DIP switch settings that allow speed and flow configuration for both copper and fiber ports as well as activating or not the LFP (Link Fault Passthrough) function.
