The Pig Iron ST-1 tripod with built in monopod is one of the most versatile tripods available. At its highest setting the Pig Iron ST-1 tripod takes your camera to 1.67m high. At the lowest setting you can work at just 36cm from the ground, useful for macro photography.

Legs

The quick-twist leg locks mean setting up the tripod is super quick and easy. The legs can be set up in three positions, for normal working height, medium height and extra low. The locking rings of the four leg segments can be unlocked by a simple twist of the wrist.

Monopod

The almost magic hidden monopod feature is ingenious! Unscrew the third leg of the tripod and attach it to the removable centre column and you instantly have a fully featured monopod with ball head! Indispensable for fast paced sports and wildlife.  

Centre Column

The telescopic central column has a larger diameter than columns on similar tripods. This means that in its fully extended position it remains very stable. A retractable stability hook on the underside of the column can be used to attach your camera bag to provide extra stability in high winds.

Size 

The design of the ST-1 tripod means it is noticeably smaller in comparison to similar tripods when folded away. The legs are folded upwards and the centre column and ball head are kept between the three legs. The use of four section legs instead of three enables the tripod to fold up smaller.

Head

The included ball head is of supreme quality, is quick to adjust and combines good load carrying capacity with excellent stability. The head is equipped with the proven Arca-Swiss compatible quick release system. The included quick release plate is interchangeable with all other Pig Iron heads and other Arca-Swiss style tripods. The ball head is equipped with a built in spirit level for getting your landscape photos level.
