This listing is for an unusual antique Art Deco Sterling Silver large Cigarette Case with gilt interior and striker on back of case, c. 1920's.
The silver body has an alternating ribbed and smooth finish with cartouche and has striker area on reverse. Gilt interior with two sterling spring loaded bar supports with tight hinge to hold cigarettes in place. Top support marked "Sterling", center interior marked with unidentified maker's trademark stamp. The case opens and closes correctly although the top support bar does not close properly.
Surface has some minor dings and surface scratches for normal use and age. The entire case is in very good condition reflecting only normal wear.
Measures 6 1/8" long and 3 1/8" wide. Weighs 196 grams.
