Up for sale is a photo produced from the original negative, found in an envelope of Massachusetts negatives, and marked "M.B.L. Woods Hole". This is NOT a postcard. The photo shows a panoramic view of the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, in the 1920's. From the MBL website: The oldest private marine laboratory in the western hemisphere, the Marine Biological Laboratory was founded in 1888 as an independent institution for teaching and research. Primarily a summer laboratory in its early years, the MBL today retains its renowned summer program while simultaneously serving as the year round home for a cadre of world-class biologists and ecologists.

The photo measures about 4 x 6", much sharper than the .jpg image here. We've printed it from a .tif file on quality photo paper. Please see our other Massachusetts photos on Ebay this week, and check out our other old photos from New England and elsewhere.

Please email with questions before bidding, and check out our Ebay store, Paper Emporium, for over 200 vintage photos from the 1920's-40's.
