Mined in the Lightning Ridge area of Australia, the freeform shape opal measures 12.7 X 10.8mm and weighs 3.40 carats unmounted.  Striking colors of green tones blended with blue/purple and orange/red flashes with highlights of yellow rate this opal a 4.5 fire on a scale of 5.

The hand fabricated sterling silver mounting is accented with an 18K yellow gold heavy bezel which surrounds the opal. The head of this ring measures 21.4mm tapering to 7.3mm at the back of the shank.

This complete ring weighs 14.3 grams and is currently a size 9.5 but can be resized, (please inquire about sizing).
