Hellas-Jesserai is a city born of colonial hope that generations after its founding set the example to all such solar colonies, of compassion and humanity, by welcoming millions after ‘The Rout Of Man’ to the green planet.  Hellas, this solar mega metropolis is a fitting location for so many of the pan-solar corporate governance buildings and the First Legion’s high courts of law.  Many are the palatial residencies of corporate nobles and lesser corporate praetorial families to be found around its central district.  The populace of Hellas-Jesserai have seen many conflicts over the generations, in their thousands they volunteered and never returned from fighting in the titan wars on Earth.  Million’s more died during the first and second corporate wars and now conflict has returned but this war is different.  The war that now rages like a firestorm from the smallest mining outposts in the outer most asteroid belt, to the very streets of this the largest and most civilised urban zone on Mars, is not about corporate profit and loss.  This is a war of ideologies, a religious war, call it crusade or jihad, it is the most bloody of wars.  The old spirit of corporate battle honour amongst peace maker legions has been replaced by an all out zealots’ blood bath.  It would seem there is no humanity left to mankind; who would have thought it, that we would be the instrument of our own ultimate doom and not those mindless automaton minions of Mother!

The architectural designs of many of the older buildings from District XXII were built in a style reminiscent of Earth cities in the late fossil fuel age (before the Titan Wars).  ‘The Rout of Man’  had scared the collective psyche of the refugees from Earth, they had fled in their millions to the corporate colonies, bringing great civil unrest as they often outnumbered their colonial host communities. These dispossessed brought to the colonials more than a hunger to survive, they hungered for the familiar ‘Earth That Was’.  They built anew but their building styles were traditional (the hab-block in this kit is a good examples of such buildings).

Hellas, or rather Hellas-Jesserai as it is now known by their descendants, was and is the largest of urban zones on terraformed Mars (the green planet).  For many hundreds of years the majority of their buildings were built in Neo-Gothica, Art-Neo, and Neo-Deco.  District XXII and many of the older districts of Hellas still retain hundreds of old buildings built during this period.  As times have changed preferred styles have changed with them, but District XXII as one of the poorest districts of Hellas has retained most of its ancient buildings.  Though Central (District I) is full of gleaming examples of the most current of architectural fashions, occasionally a radical architect will decide on a retro style as they feel a more classical look is required for their next project; it is not uncommon to see a building of the older style among the mighty towers of Central.

Apartment building.  15S-JUZ-103is a ‘15Standard’ 4Ground kit, as you would expect it has loads of detail and pre-painted parts.   This kit is rated 4Ground skill level 3.  This kit can have its height increased by using Hab-Block 3 Add-on (adds two floors).  15mm scale.
