These dresses do fit true to size, so if your little one wears size 3T clothing, purchase the 3T. If she wears 5T clothing, choose the 5T dress.
For size reference, my niece in the pictures is 3 years old and she's in size 4T clothing. She is wearing the dress in the 4T/4 size.
