Carnegie Mellon University Song c 1932

"Alma Mater"

"Here where spangled wildernesses Robed the fountains of the west, Where the savage strife and stresses Brought the settlers' crimson quest; Land of legend, glory, graces, Gypsy tide and toiling shore, 'Mid thy hilltops Alma Mater stands enthroned forevermore. All Hail Carnegie, Alma Mater, Stand enthroned forevermore."

Genuine vintage sheet music and lyrics to this historic and stirring Carnegie alma mater song!! Back in the days when the school was still known as the Carnegie Institute of Technology!

Taken directly from the 1932 printing of an Intercollegiate Song Book of school alma mater and football songs, this is a beautiful, cream-colored page lightly tinged with the golden burnish that comes only with the passing years.

Song begins as shown, and concludes on the reverse.  If you want to frame it start to finish, you'll need two originals... so please check the quantity; I may have more than one available.

Over 90 years old, yet looks fabulous!

Song credits at top: "Words by Charles J. Taylor.  Music by J. Vick O'Brien."

Date at bottom:  "Copyrighted 1924 by Carnegie Institute of Technology."

Page is approx. 6 1/2" x 10 ".

Looks excellent in a frame. What an impressive display and wonderful gift for a Carnegie Mellon alum!
