These Nuts fit 5/16" Diameter front axle that has 26 Threads Per Inch (tpi) and has a 13mm or 1/2" Hex head drive. These nuts fit most New 5/16" axles and the Classic Vintage Schwinn Script Front Hubs. Nuts are Raw Steel finished in a hot oil, They are Blackish raw steel and can rust. Nuts come oily and have some rust protection at first, once the oils gone they can rust, thus making this our top choice for Rat Rod Cruisers and Patina Bikes. The idea is New Nuts that are mechanically sound and will look old. The Nuts have manufacturing mark on one side ( that can be hidden by how you install the nuts ) and they weigh about 3grams each. Nuts most likely will not Fit the later Cheeepo Schwinn Hubs and Hubs with 24tpi standard Axles. These Nuts WILL NOT Fit New Departure Hubs.
