This is an original dealer advertising partial color catalog/facts book for 1938 Vauxhall "25" passenger cars, in very good condition, printed in England. This brochure seems to fit somewhere between a condensed technical manual and a prestige color catalog, definitely more of the former one might add. Vauxhaull refers to this item as a "Connoisseur's Edition" for the New 25 Luxury Saloon. It then continues for two pages with a brief summary of its construction (Ex: Heat Control, Seating, Reversing light) all with page references for more information on the topic of interest. Want to know more about Heat Control? Turn to page 11 and read about the design of the engine and how coolant keeps the valves and heads cool (picture shown) and how a water jacket maintains uniform engine temperature (another picture). And so this process is carried out through the 36 page brochure. In addition, there are some car pictures; the interior of the LUXURY SALOON shown in full color, a color 3/4 front view of the SALOON, another color picture of the Limousine interior and blue-duo tone pictures of the GROSVENOR 7-Seater Luxury Limousine, GROSVENOR Close-Coupled Sports Saloon and TICKFORD Foursome Drophead Coupe. All pictures in this brochure are black and white and blue duo-tone and are found from two to five per page, assisting the explanation. Blue of course as this is the color of mechanical drawings. Specifications are printed on the inside rear cover. The attractive, heavy weight rear and front covers are for the most part blue, complimenting the inside pictures, which are printed on a medium weight matte paper. The front shows some minor creasing along the spline area and the lower right corner has a fold mark, about 1/2" in width. On the interior, the staples show some rust but nothing has transferred to the pictures. The remaining pages are very clean and the brochure is complete. Its considered to be in very good condition. Approximate size is 7 1/4 x 9 1/2", - 36 pages plus covers; printed in England. This is a unique, item and for a British car enthusiast or Vauxhaull literature collector, the technical synopsis would be quite enjoyable. A desirable item to add to a collection of Vauxhaull literature.
