How does the suit work?
This tan through garment is constructed from a unique patented fabric and knitting technology which creates thousands of tiny apertures in the fabric. These pores act as a shade cloth, and filter approximately one third of the sun's light. This filtering process is comparable to a SPF between 4 and 8, depending on skin type, time of day and UV index.
Is it see through?
It's guaranteed not to be see through when worn against the skin, wet or dry. This remarkable feature is achieved with a unique print which creates a high contrast of colors, resulting in an optical inability for the human eye to see past the specially designed print when the suit is worn.
What should I expect?
It is important to remember that the suns rays can be very strong and will pass through your new Tan Through swim wear. We recommend applying a sun protection lotion that you would normally use, even under your Tan Through swimwear, to prevent skin damage from over exposure to the sun. This is especially important if you have sensitive skin, and on areas of your body that have had little or no previous exposure to the sun.
How long will it take to achieve an all over tan?
Are there other advantages with this type of suit?It will depend on your skin's ability to produce melanin. which is the pigment that darkens when human skin is exposed to sunlight. This is a gradual process. Continuous tanning also ensures a longer lasting tan. It is recommended to apply a SPF lotion of 4 to 8 (or higher as needed) on skin which is not covered by the suit. The SPF lotion will work in conjunction with the suit's built-in filtration, thus resulting in an all over tan. To get the best seamless tan, simply move all seams and straps slightly on a periodic basis.
