This is an Antique English Art Nouveau 18" Walnut Carved Beveled Wall Mirror.
At the time of the original listing, we are in the process of listing a large number of antique and vintage items purchased in England. These items are an eclectic mix including gold and sterling jewelry, and many unique, and in some cases, one of a kind items, in wood, brass, and iron, and other materials as well.
We have a variety of other Art Nouveau Period items in our ebay store including furnishings, decor, art, and jewelry, so of them purchased on previous trips to England.
We did not get any specific information on the mirror, but I am confident it is of the Art Nouveau Period, circa 1890s-1910, and we will guarantee your satisfaction with your purchase of this beautiful, high quality mirror. In addition to the graceful carvings in high relief, the wide bevel adds to the beauty and appeal of the mirror. In addition, the relatively small size of this mirror adds to the appeal and provides an added versatility for its use in smaller spaces, as compared to larger, full sized mirrors.
The mirror is 13" tall. The frame is 17 7/8" wide, and the trim molding on top is 18 1/2" wide. The frame is 7/8" thick. The mirror is secured to the frame on the back with two small sections of quarter round molding.
I think it is highly likely that the piece was made in England where we purchased it, but I do not know for sure.
The mirror is in very good condition with a couple of small spots of missing silvering within and near the area of the bevel, as seen, circled in blue.
