Description:
JcAir Model 332 is a battery operated Transponder/IFF Ramp Test Set with altitude decoding capability. The unit is capable of making measurements by radiated signal and by direct connection to the transponder antenna cable.

The Model 332 Transponder Ramp Test Set is designed to make complete operational tests on airborne ATC Transponders. A calibrated RF output permits accurate measurement of MTL.

Bench Use (Direct Input): Connecting the antenna coax or the trasponder output directly to the Model 332 will provide more precise measurements of power and receiver sensitivity. To check receiver MTL with direct input, adjust the INT LEVEL knob until 90% reply is achieved. Read directly the receiver sensitivity. All other tests can be made as previously described.
Altitude Encoder (Direct Input): The Model 332 is capable of decoding an altitude encoder output directly. To accomplish this, a cable must be fabricated and connected between the encoder and the test set. The test set connector is an Amphenol DA-15P. By selecting ENCDR readout function, the encoder output is decoded and read directly on the digital readout. The LED displays will not light using this function.
