This listing is for (4) brand new, factory fresh, Genalex Gold Lion KT88s as a closely Factory Platinum Matched Quad. Each tube is burned in, tested and then closely matched for Gm (transconductance) and Ip (plate current) by the distributor/manufacturer. The box stickers hold the data for each tube.

You can throw your hard earned cash away on the originals (that's right, its a crying shame what some scalpers are charging for these, check for yourself, I have seen these at more than $1100.00 a Quad; knowing this tube very well, its not worth it) or purchase these for a lot less and get a better tube at that, both quality wise and sonicly. Exactly the same specified tube, only manufactured to a higher standard than the originals, and will prove to be much more reliable.
We were a major distributor of the originals in the 1980s and so very familiar with the tube, and we can say these are superior in every way!
In 1957 Marconi-Osram Valve Co. (Genalex) introduced the "King of Power Tubes", the legendary Gold Lion KT88. This tube became the heart and soul of such classics as the Dynaco Mark III, McIntosh MC275, and Marshall Major. Unfortunately, Genalex ceased tube production in the early 1980s and the Genalex Gold Lion KT88 has become very expensive and hard to find.
After extensive research and engineering, our dsitributor has reissued the famed Genalex Gold Lion KT88. This tube has been recreated down to the finest detail with gold plated grid wire, carbonized screen grids, and a tri-alloy clad plate structure for exceptional performance and sound quality.
