This rubber slip on will also assure that the vholdr/contourhd lens cap will not TURN/ROTATE while you are filming, which is VERY common in that camera over time when you are constantly adjusting you camera aim.
Note: When you fix the lens of the contourhd on its vertical position the lens rotation mechanism remains slightly loose, & causes slight shifting, & this device will prevent lens shifting.
