Le Creuset / Cousances Doufeu Size 20cm Cast Iron Casserole

Super vintage pan for that "special" touch !

Doufeu is French for "gentle heat."

The concave lid of the casserole is filled with ice to create condensation throughout the cooking process. Dimples on the underside of the lid are designed to distribute the moisture to the food.

Cousances / Le Creuset introduced the Doufeu in 1934, and said at the time "the condensation-creating design takes a dish from good to spectacular."

The casserole on offer is in very good condition, clean and ready for use. It has a couple of marks on the base but the inside of the pan is excellent.

Measures approx. 15 1/2 inches long (inc. handles) x 10 inches wide and 5 inches deep (6 1/2 inches with lid)

The capacity is around 7 litres

Weighs around 7 kilograms (empty)
